Desaru Trip

Prissy and the Monk
Monk in all his cuteness!

More monkiness to go around.

Monk's mostest favouritest place to rest his head.

Pure unadulterated animalistic love.

A moment shared...

the look of contentment

Wherever I lay my head, thats my home...

stolen glances...

"Hey...how are you today?"

Z Z Z zzz...

me cats

Monk waits...

"Wonder what is taking him so long. I gotta go..."

Poison hams it up for the camera.

Take a break from all the licking

Cleaning in stereo.

'missed a spot there.'

UJ gets all bored with waiting for the door to open and very nearly dozes off.

UJ waits as Nico makes full use of the time.

Poison

Nico does... err...next picture!!

A Monk and a tail

Halia looking all pissy and stuff

"Hey bug off!"

Wonder who is hiding there...

It is meeeee...Monk. Come and tickle me belly...eee....

UJ attempts to blend in with the CD rack but his white nose gives him away.

UJ does nothing in particular as everyone else cleans up and rests up for picture taking.

Poison's crooked tail in the foreground.

stuff Agnes bought from Sarawak

Agnes went to Kuching and all I got was this lousy shirt! just joking. As you will see...

She also bought a cute yellow kitty cat with a long erect tail.... a cat book mark...and a hand woven coin pouch.

The bookmark. Kinda looks like Monk although the colours are wrong.

The yellow cat. Precautionary instructions should read,' Do not hold too close to face as may poke eyes'.

The nice looking hand-woven coin pouch.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

A far picture of a bird.Must be lonely.

Agnes has a go at identifying bird calls

What Lies Beneath. A Monitor Lizard takes an afternoon swim.

A monitor lizard makes like a tortoise.

An hour later..still hungry...

An actual tortoise wonders what the commotion is all about.

Ponders the wisdom of withdrawing into his shell.

Oscar and Bug-Eye were not on talking terms after Oscar left the toilet seat up.

... and I felt something was amiss....

Some of the drawings done by kids used to decorate the ceiling of one of the rest huts.

A closer look....

One of the many pictures I took of pretty looking reflections and sceneries.

Another pwetty pwecture.....bwaaa...

watcha lookin at?

anuther pwetty refrection??

und mure of the sume....

Some spotty looking beetles we found nestled on a cluster of leaves.

A rather anal-retentive sand pup.

I always thought mudskippers were more...umm....skippy!

A sexy looking female acts all helpless...

Focus is the key to success....

Wait...the food is way over there. I am way over here. I am sure if I stare at it long enough it will get close enough to eat...

Marcus the Mudskipper wasn't too pleased with the mudpie. It tasted too....errrr....muddy.

Jack worked on his tan all afternoon.

"And they said this mud treatment would open up my pores and give me better skin..."

"Room service!!"

Come here...fishy...fishy...fishy.....

Don't I look cool with my feathers slicked back and I balance on one leg?I hear the chicks dig this kind of stuff.

(an hour later), notice the leg position now.

I finally managed to get a reasonable picture of a dragonfly.

Agnes acting all cutesey.

"Don't I look great?" ruffle-ruffle

"Hey babe, whats a nice bird like you doing in a place like this?"

Finally Agnes makes it to the bottom of the tower... but not before...

*wheeze*...

*pant pant pant*...

"urrr...it is so steep, leh..."

Feeding time.

and rest time too!

the long road

"Roar!!! Are you scared? Are you? Are you?

Aha!! Found you! Bwahhhahahaha...

Mollusc

more mollusc

even more mollusc

Beware of Buaya

try flipping this picture over. Cool eh?

All that is lacking is a frog to sit on the lily pad.

*drumroll....*

.....and... tadaa.... a water lily in full bloom..well.... sort of....anyway....

another picture of the same water lily

mud formations in the waters

so near yet a world away

prestigious real estate

one of the many hides that dot Sungei Buloh.

a stream on the flats

the waters receded...

even at low tide it was still a joy to behold

The long walk home

left...right....left...right...left....

A nice looking birdie

refuge from the noon day sun

the water monitor is a master of cover and concealment. Problem is he is facing the wrong direction.

"Cheese!"

step one: break glass (check!)
step two: open box with key (check!!)
step three: Turn right knob clockwise (done!). You will hear 2 beeps (beep! beep!)
step four: press side button and say loudly: "Emergency at Hide 1C. Emergency at Hide 1C"
Release side button to listen. If no response repeat step four...

another sighting of Loch Ness?

Wonder what hair conditioner she uses.

An odd addition to the otherwise natural landscape.

another indulgent picture of the interesting terra and reflections at the water's edge

what is it with me and these reflections on the water?

A bird. A nest. A bird in a nest.

Another nest. A weaver bird's probably. No bird this time though.

a birdless nest.

a green at an 18 hole?

what to say? scenery...water...reflection... *yawn*

seems to have something in his mouth... I mean... beak.

is it a cigar? a stick of gum? wait a minute... it's a... STICK!

Leon studies his subject closely...too closely..

Wonder what captured her attention...
